We use the Cactus V5. Does not come with female sycn adapter for Quantum connection.

Biggest problem was mounting with Velcro as there is no flat surface.
I am going to try using the Velcro on the foot stand and see how that works.
One broke while transporting with it plugged in. Carry spares.
No ETTL- manual only.

Thanks for the review. nice to know it goes 200m+ but most of us will be under 100 ft. Buying some more spares.

I did a mod to mine too. Instead of gutting the original battery compartment, I just ran double a casing to the (-) and (+) connectors of the originals and used velcro to adhere it to the back of the camera so I could still keep everything original. You can also find a battery for the original casing online. Good ingenuity there!

Excellent photos here Brian. I live in Sarasota and I was hoping you could give me good directions to the Murmur Trestle in Dudley Park and the coverered bridge, both that you photographed here. I appreciate your help. All the best.

I was just trying this the other day, as I just got the V5's in. I stacked the V4 onto the V5 and then both onto camera hot shoe, but could not in any way get the flash to sync with the trigger. My flash would fire "just"prior to the shutter. I was wondering about changing the way the camera's shutter opened pre or post, but I don't know anything about that. Are you saying here, that you are firing the camera with a V5 remotely, and that the V4 that is mounted onto it is firing a flash with only a V4 on it? Or are you saying that you mount the V4 onto the V5 that you use as a remote trigger? It appears that you have both again on the receiving side. I don't understand that.
Thanks.

@ frank No it is a manual trigger. If you want ETTL you need more expensive radio poppers or pocket wizards.
